Summer 2024
BOYS & GIRLS TEAMS U8/U10/U12/U14/HS
This 7 week summer LAX program participates in the Tampa Lacrosse Alliance league. We (Yellow Jackets) will meet once a week for practices and games on Saturdays starting at 9 AM at Skyway Park in Tampa. (By the airport) the format is small-sided games Olypmic 6s which allows for more touches with an ability to get creative with your game. This is a great way to keep your stick in your hands while staying local to free up your fall!
Why small-sided games?
- Less players sharing one-ball increases individual technical development (more touches per player)
- Smaller space means more action near the goals which leads to accelerated tactical development (more relevant game action per player)
- Less players on the field means more playmaking opportunities for each player and improved game savvy
- Small space and simplified rules increases the pace of play which helps keep the kids mentally engaged during practice
- Small space and simplified rules also allow all players, not just the best athletes, to have a positive impact on the game
- Small-sided games are flexible enough to adapt to any practice situation
- All of this leads to better development for the kids and more FUN!

Practices: Tuesdays
Dates: April 16th, 23rd, 30th, May 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th, June 4th, and 11th - Little buzz to run April 23rd through May 28th
Times: 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM (Little Buzz runs 6:30 PM to 7:15 PM)
Games: Saturdays - May 11th, 18th, June 1s, 8th and 15th.
Equipment: Full equipment needed
Cost: $165.00

Practices: Monday
Dates:April 15th, 22nd, 29th, May 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th, June 3rd, and 10th - Little buzz to run April 22nd through May 27th
Times: 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM (Little Buzz runs 6:30 PM to 7:15 PM)
Games: Saturdays - May 11th, 18th, June 1s, 8th and 15th.
Equipment: Full equipment needed
